What is your favorite outer-space themed movie, and why?

My favorite outer space themed movie is Alien. I realize this declaration will get me killed by John Kapp, most likely with his machete - or he might shove one of his many figurines up my ass until I die from blood loss. Or both.
Alien summed up how I feel about space. It’s like being underwater. It’s like being a fat dude with sore knees on a packed flight. You’re totally trapped. It also managed to be one of the best horror movies in tandem with being sci-fi. (another great example of this is the Thing, but that’s in Alaska - which might as well be in space.)
EDIT - I have been informed that THE THING is set in Antarctica. Silly me, I should have remembered the popular Thing in alaska is actually bigotry.
This is my sister, Averie. She rocks it out east at Carleton, but soon she’ll be back for Xmas and will get so many snowballs thrown at her it will be assault. I will also put snow down her shirt and then run inside really quickly and lock the door. I tried to capture her likeness here, I’ve never really had much luck with drawing her for some reason. Probably all the drawings I used to do of her as a kid (the ones where she had a dinosaur head and stink lines) are messing with me subconsciously. Sorry, Ave!

My office job pays WAY too well to give it up for hip-hop. I must find the marriageable aspects of these worlds and MARRY THEM BITCHES.
SOOOO the last two days have been insane. I think there was a brief period last night around 5am where I literally started to hallucinate. SO, this picture fits perfectly. I also started working on a little one off comic. Maybe I’ll send it into the Carillon and use Alej as a front.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the Russell Williams killings. Fuck that guy. They say it’s rare for a murderer to start killing so late in life, but obviously Col. Williams couldn’t get his fix after he got a desk job. This piece was made before the killings, but I think it is almost like a reverse Russell Williams, a coquettish girl dressing in a beleclava instead of a madman dressing in panties.
